Thomas D. McClure
Tom has an undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University. Tom’s legal practice is focused on patent preparation and prosecution. Prior to attending law school he worked in both the textile and the coating industries in various roles as an engineer or manager. During his career in industry, he gained extensive experience in a variety of technologies. These technologies relate to design and implementation of process-control systems, various mechanical systems including web handling equipment, dye and coating chemistry, drying and washing processes, vacuum metallization, direct-slot-die coating, and gravure coating.
Tom graduated from the Emory University School of Law in 2003. Tom is a registered patent attorney and is admitted to practice law in North Carolina. His practice has always been focused on preparation and prosecution of patents. Early in his legal career Tom served as an associate attorney at intellectual property law firms in Ohio and in North Carolina. Prior to joining Trego, Hines & Ladenheim, Tom spent 8 years as the managing director of The McClure Law Firm, PLLC.
